Feature ||Wine Personality Koliswa Jayiya Muses Over a Glass of Wine

They say all good conversations start with a bottle of wine. Nothing brings people together like a great bottle. From family to friends, lovers, abokleva, amajimbos, amablesser… and not forgetting abo babes bama party. Whether you enjoy the sweet kind or the award winning liquid gold, we love our drink. The whole world knows that we love our drinks in SA.

Koliswa Jayiya is my name. Wine is simply my tonic, it transforms my world.

Join me on this journey. We are going to laugh together, share some awkward moments and have a laugh at the biggest clichés and awkward moments. Talking about the importance of glasses, just last week while watching Date My Family, the horror of wine being poured in a highball glass. Nkosi Yam!!!!!! I want to breakdown those stereotypes ze wine naboDarkie

Abantu baseKasi are trend setters. Hell, we should have our very own wine route eKasi. We consume a lot of it and our culture is rich and diverse. Some are influenced by price, popularity or simply CHAMPAGNE…….RIGHT!!! We are huge supporters in this movement. Interesting enough is over the last few years Brownies are hungry for it. Made by Brownies. At shows that’s all you get, “Do you own the estate?” #Blackexcllence #Buyblack #African, but we could all do with a little nudge in the right direction.

So keep a lookout for more content which I hope you will find interesting, enlightening as you muse over a glass of wine.

De Wetshof Limestone Hill Chardonnay 2017

  • Review–  De Wetshof Limestone Hill Chardonnay 2017 is really value for money. This is an easy drinking wine with flavours of peach, apple and lemon, with a nutty finish and elegant balance.
  • Pairing – Great with fish but equally good with any meal.
  • Price– At R95 per bottle, great for any occasion.
  • Rating– We rate this one a 7/10.
